MARK SCHEIBMAYR

GEARED FOR GROWING

Markham Museum, 2017-2019

4000 square foot exhibition about the science of farming and simple machines.

I was the sole designer on a small development team for this project with the objective of creating an accessible and engaging experience for both children and adults.

Illustration took a front seat with hand drawn diagrams, maps, and an exhibit mascot, Pat the horse, who led young viewers through the show using humour and a conversational tone. The colour scheme is evocative of the fall harvest.

My role included panel and label layout design, illustration, wayfinding, information design, and gallery floorplan design, and all exhibit text writing.
